What if he was actually working for the. . . Rotarians all this time? Bwa ha ha ha ha!
Posted by: Harry at June 4, 2004 08:14 PMHarry,
That is just the kind of deceptive comment that a Rotarian would make to throw we in the Anti-Rotarian Resistance off our guard.
I'm not saying you ARE a filthy Rotator. I'm saying we have our eye on you.
Posted by: Jonathan Schwarz at June 4, 2004 08:46 PMThis is the funniest thing I have seen in the past week. The past week has not been very funny, so thanks for giving me a laugh I really needed.
Also I thought you masons were out for world domination. Are you and the rotarians going to take over the world from the lions together, or will you fight it out between the 3 of you?
Posted by: Anna in Cairo at June 10, 2004 02:36 AMActually, sandcrabs will take over the world, together with Jamai (search for him on the web, it's horrifying)
Posted by: Jade at October 16, 2004 05:54 AMIt has become a trend to euphemize this kind of misbehavior with the term "misstatement," but I prefer the more direct language.
George Tenet told another big lie during his March 8 speech at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. OU president David Boren, the former U.S. Senator who is widely acknowledged as Tenet's mentor and sponsor, was right there on stage with him. Oklahoma news organizations did not report this, but the audio stream is now online for the world to see.

In response to a question from me, Tenet disputed a TIME magazine article (June 3, 2002) which reported that the CIA told the FBI headquarters in August 2001 that Moussoui, then in custody in Minneapolis, was merely a "religious extremist" but not an Al Qaeda member. Tenet said that TIME was "absolutely wrong."
The FBI relied on this misrepresentation and denied the Minneapolis agents' request for permission to search Moussaoui's computer -- three weeks before 9/11.
The 9/11 Commission admitted in its final report that a "maximum U.S. effort to investigate Moussaoui" at that time "might have brought investigators to the core of the 9/11 plot" and possibly derailed it (p. 276 -- Norton edition). What was derailed instead was an effort which could have spared the nation the agony of 9/11 and all its consequences.
Tenet is still covering up his treacherous behavior. He also perjured himself before the 9/11 Commission in April 2004, when he falsely told them that he had not met with Bush in August 2001.
Please see the video, read the commentary, and inform others.
