Sign This Moveon Social Security Petition
If you're a US citizen, I strongly urge you to sign this Moveon Social Security Petition and then get everyone you know to sign it too. If you ever do one thing this site suggests, please make it this.
I'm writing a short, easy-to-understand guide to Social Security right now. (More on this soon.) But in the meantime, I'll just repeat what I've said before: Bush's push to "reform" Social Security is a scam. It is as big a scam as the invasion of Iraq over non-existent Weapons of Mass Destruction. There is nothing wrong with Social Security, just as there were no WMD.
So, go sign the petition.

You seem nice enough, and your site has been beneficial to my mental health. So, though I don't normally do online petitions, I will do this because you asked.
But, why? Certainly not to impress the administration? To impress the congress? They are moved by the arguments of their peers on occasion and local voters only. To impress the liberal media to move to the left of Attila the Hun on this issue?
Well, since you have probably never had a cynic near you, I thought you should know what one was thinking. I've done the Congress thing (an easy task with all the democrats of california pretty strong on the issue.) And I look forward to your concise guide to de-rushifying your family member regarding Social Security.
There is a fight, but who looks at online petitions?

Thanks! There are two reasons I feel this is well worth doing:
1. Moveon is very well organized. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they give each member of Congress both the entire list and a list of all signers from his/her district (or state for Senators). They certainly pay attention to that. This should help firm up the Democrats and make Republicans more nervous than they are already. Moreover, it's extremely important to do this NOW.
2. Lots of signers will also encourage Moveon to devote resources to fighting on Social Security. They're one of the biggest resources progressives have, but you never know exactly what they'll decide to do with themselves. We need to push them on this.

I think OUR MEN should come home and All OUR MONEY should stay here in the USA and SS should of been left alone. He should leave everything alone. You ever realize that no matter who you vote for it always end up being the wrong person!
