So... am I to understand that the terrifying individual depicted in Bob's masthead is not, in fact, Bob? Or did he just make himself look terribly frightening through "artistic means"?

The masthead picture is also Bob. I think his visage brightens when he has just won $25,000.

Some of that 25K will go to his Social Security account, which not only insures him of some safety net in the future, but pools risk so that we all are insured of some safety net in the future.
