...don't worry. You still have some readers out here. Earlier today I had researched Diane de Poitiers for some reason... oh! It was that picture of her topless! Anyhoo--it's remarkable how much world history gets put into motion because of family feuds.

Is it possible to set comments so that they automatically close for a given post after the xth comment? I'm guessing this is something you've already thought of Jonathan S., but I'm thinking maybe the people who make the comments software might read it and consider it. It wouldn't help someone like Atrios very much, but would reduce sp*m for 95-99% of blogs out there if they would allow that, and people could set their comments at such-and-such a cutoff point, as they saw fit.
