Worst Congress Ever

Matt Taibbi makes a pretty convincing case that our current Congress is the worst ever.

You'd think that Rolling Stone could afford to hire someone versed in the art of closing italic tags.

Jonathan,

Here is my suggestion for Congressional reform:

All 535 members should be shipped off to Iraq along with all of their lobbying buddies, contractors and every other Bushanista war-profiteering corporate greedhead including all members of the administration (past and present) as re-enforcements while our troops are sent back home to defend a re-instituted Constitution.

They can all stay at the new Baghdad Embassy protected by any volunteers who want to fight along side them. They will be armed with the same faulty equipment and forced to fight until the Mission is Accomplished. Bush and Rummy will be commissioned as Generals, since they want to play that part so much anyway!

This way BushCo will find out quickly and closely just how noble his cause is in Iraq. I'm sure there are plenty of rich young Republicans who will flock to support their Fearless Leader as he slogs his way through all of those bright red rose petals thrown into the streets that are now so cleverly disguised as dead Iraqis.

Thank you for the link Jonathan. It is all true and a very good summary of why we now have a parliamentary style of government a result of this revolution within the government by the government.

Much of this is quite familiar because Josh Marshall did and is doing a fine job of covering the corruption in congress as is Justin Rood over at the TPMmuckraker another website started by Josh Marshall.

It seems to me most of the problems Taibbi cites are the result of having too many Democrats in Congress. Things would go a lot smoother if Congress was 100% Republican.
