How The People In Charge Manage To Live With Themselves

More Alan Greenspan:

Q: [Cheney's] popularity ratings are quite low and he’s sometimes portrayed as sinister. Is that an accurate characterization?

A: Not in the slightest. He has strong views but manipulator, that he’s not. He’s been very straight with me.

I'm sure Greenspan believes this. As long as Cheney has been straight with ME, Alan Greenspan, no other questions need be asked.

I don't know if Cheney is evil or not but I hear he's one hell of a marksman. Perhaps that's why Greenspan speaks so well of him.

Mr. Greenspan probably just meant that Mr. Cheney had been pretty straight with him about the real reasons for going to Iraq, and what would happen if he spilled the beans before he had retired.

The interesting part, however, is that the actual question was whether Cheney was sinister -not whether he was straight.

Yes, I know many people have said very bad things about my master, but he was always very kind to me, and even when he was very busy, he would always take time out to scratch me behind the ears and toss my favorite rubber ball.
