Pelosi Preparing to Refuse Further Iraq Funding?

We shouldn't get ahead of ourselves, and we should remain vigilant and increase the pressure, but this change in policy from Nancy Pelosi is the most encouraging thing I've seen in a long time.

Ha ha! You almost got me there.

It's a shame that her announcement about bringing articles of impeachment against Bush and Cheney got squeezed off the page by the Iraq thing.

Jon: You may not have realized that it's very common for people to post fake articles on April 1st like the one you've linked to (Google usually does it, for example). And the article you're talking about here is apparently one of these joke articles. Seriously—check the content. I'm sure if you'd thought about it a bit more you'd have realized that Nancy Pelosi wouldn't say these things, but I know it's tempting sometimes to just post the second you see something. Don't feel too bad, though...we've all gotten caught at one time or another!

You may want to put a note in the article to make sure there's no confusion about it.

John Caruso: The joke's on us all, don't ya know. (and about a million Iraqis)

Posted by: Mike Meyer at April 1, 2008 01:31 PM

Ha ha, John Caruso believed it.

He totally bought it, and then he told all his friends cause he thought it was true.

Ah, CENSORSHIP, that most useful tool of the ture revolutionary.

This April Fools stuff is way too easy.

Hey, if it wasn't for false hope, we wouldn't have any hope at all.

It's just a little reminder why we should be supporting Cindy Sheehan's bid to unseat Pelosi. If Sheehan was getting sufficnet monetary and moral support from progressives to make it a viable candidacy, we might actually be seeing such a statement on Pelosi's web site.

Jonathan,

Sigh! This is indeed a cruel joke.
All the more reason that April is the cruelest month of the year.
