God Damn Little Man
Thank you to this by Mimi Smartypants for mentioning this cartoon, or whatever it is.
Thank you to grendelkhan for mentioning cartoonist Tim Kreider and this specifically. I note that here Kreider refers to "John Ralston Saul’s indispensable book Voltaire’s Bastards."
Thank you to Jesus/Buddha/Mohammed/DARPA for inventing the internet.

Posted at May 7, 2008 06:27 AMErr? I find the cartoon uninspired and the rant below it (while better than most in that vein) myopic. I've had enough with atheists sneering at those backwards Muslims/Christians/whatever. First, it's vaguely racist at best and abetting war at worst. Then, even if I allow that the cartoonist might be equally disrespectful of all religions, I'm left wondering why I should give a shit. He concedes that there is no relationship between religiosity and stupidity, so what the hell is his point, again?

No, really... I wasn't expecting this junk from you Jon! Thanks for nothing!
(Do I really need to go into the details, do I REALLY?)
I hate it when people forget to thank Big Al for inventing the internet. And pop tarts.

I dunno... Sometimes I feel kinda nostalgic for the good old times when I would not only buy a book and start reading it, but actually finish it. It was a nice feeling - finishing a book; I can still remember. Vaguely.

I thought it was Wierd Al.
Posted by: darrelplant at May 8, 2008 03:24 PMvaguely racist at best
Last I checked, Muslim wasn't categorized as "race". And people who want to flog a schoolteacher over a teddy bear should be mocked, period. It's a timeless issue, that kind of backwards stupidity.
