Looking Forward To It

This is from a recent profile of Seymour Hersh:

[H]e is hopeful that Obama will pull it off, and if he does, for Hersh this will be a starting gun. 'You cannot believe how many people have told me to call them on 20 January [the date of the next president's inauguration],' he says, with relish. '[They say:] "You wanna know about abuses and violations? Call me then."

I'm looking forward to it too, but it's a striking confirmation of just how many people out there are too cowardly to speak up when it might a) cost them personally or politically and b) do the country some good.

Maybe in fifty years they can have a non-binding resolution regretting naming a carrier after George W. That would be awesome.

Definitely something to look forward to, the BFEE/PNAC war crimes tribunal. A proper punishment, short of hanging or a bullet to the back of the head, for Junior and the Dick, would be for them to be confined together as cellmates in a high-security federal prison for the criminally insane. Okay, usually such a place is called a prison and they would be roommates rather than cellmates, but hey, it's all hypothetical, right, so I can dream a little then, I would think.

It is time the powers that be learn that there are consequences for stupid self serving choices and that they should be held accountable for them without the option to 'Pardon' themselves. That is assinine.

Can Bush pardon himself and his administration for crimes he may be accused of later? If not, isn't it better to wait until he is out of office to accuse him?

Oh, Please, anyone who thinks things will be any different under Obama is either naive, or living with blinders on. Obama was chosen because he's willing to continue the New World Order plan of the world banksters. If you think anyone is going to do anything different, think again. None of them give a shit about law, truth, justice, or representing "THE PEOPLE". They won't even talk to you if you don't have at least a $50,000. check in hand already written with their name on it. Try it - just call one of your "representatives" and see if they'll talk to you. They're all criminals, including the "savior" Obama. That's why they've been pushed into our faces for the last year while those with real integrity have been ignored - Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich & Marcy from Ohio, come to mind offhand. But what of the other "candidates"? The Constitution Party had a pretty good man of stature running - did the media let the American public know about him? Of course not - he wasn't for sale. The American people are such foolish wimps. WAKE UP, AMERICA - YOU'VE BEEN SCAMMED AGAIN!!! The only way you're going to save this country is to stop listening to them, stop giving them your power, stop playing their game. Educate yourself & others on what's really important in life - like the U.S. Constitution, or how to take care of yourself without big brother doing/providing everything for you, or what power does the jury really have - it's not all about the judge or the law. Stop voting for any Dem or Rep who has not stood up for the oath they took to uphold the U.S. Constitution - stupid Americans voted for democrats because they thought they'd get back at the republicans, but in reality, it was the democrats - Pelosi -who said "impeachment's off the table". it was the democrats who also voted to give Bush the authority to go to war, democrats voted for the Patriot Act, Military Commissions Act, have done nothing to restore habeus corpus, have voted to fund the war, voted for the bail out ..... and now Stupid Americans have voted for the same people to continue in office - STUPID AMERICAN'S JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH POOR GOVERNMENT, can they? We likes our immoral, decadent masters, yes, we likes them. Stop giving the banksters your wealth. You have every right to keep the wealth you created for yourself. Stop giving it away to the banksters via immoral and corrupt democrats and republicans! - as George Carlin puts it - "They don't give a shit about you. They don't give a shit about you. THEY DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT YOU."

I noticed you took down my post. Don't matter - there are more & more of us who are waking up to the truth - lawlessness is prevalent - on BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLE! If you want to live with you head hiding up someone else's ass, hoping to get a lick of their shit, go ahead. The nasty, licentious decadence that's taken over this country will be dealt with eventually - including those who wish to hide, or protect, it and/or those involved in it . I guess that means you, if you're obstructing the truth from being told.

Yeow. What a rant. Look, I'm a government criticizer from way back. Some criticisms of TBK I see. There is some truth to what TBK says BUT I cannot lump both parties in one basket. I believe it is NOT true that Democrats are the same as Republicans. Some are BUT many are not. There was just so much the Democrats could do. They were not in the majority initially and after 2006 they did not have the necessary 60 in the Senate. They still do not. Their numbers are better but Republicans have some (not a lot but some) Democratic allies so let's see what they can do.

Truth is there are pockets of this country that elect so called "blue dog" Democrats. What can you do? Not everyone is of one single mind.

People are just beginning to bad mouth Obama BEFORE he has even taken office. Give the guy and now Congress a break. Let's see what they do. Americans are in bad shape especially economically we simply cannot have constant ad nauseum bickering. Nor will we ever be able at least in my lifetime to rid ourselves of only two parties. I surely would like more. BUT the goal is to get things done. It's easy to criticize much harder to govern. Government should not do everything for us BUT there are some things government can do better like health care, a RESPONSIBLE military (emphasize RESPONSIBLE) with no wars if it can be helped, and infrastructure and so especially global warming. We need help and sometimes it is the collective of the people through the ONLY collective representation we have to step up to the plate and help those who CANNOT (NOT those who WILL not) but those who CANNOT help themselves.

I believe there is a difference between Republicans and Democrats. I believe there would have been NO Iraq war, I even believe 9/11 may not have happened, habeus corpus would be intact, 4200 would be alive who are dead, the Patriot Act would not have happened, torture would not have happened etc. etc. etc. All emanate from 9/11 and were an EXCUSE for Republicans to get HUGE amounts of power.

Barack Obama was able to win his landslide partially by allowing a grassroots movement of young people to develop around his candidacy. In the coming months he will have to deliver something more than lip service if he is to keep the grassroots support for his reelection in 2012.

Three words:

New World Order. Do you really still believe that our armed service people are fighting for OUR country? They enjoy helping Iraqi children...they enjoy fighting for Iraqi 'puppetocracy.' The ENJOY it!
Dupes and dupers. Action/Reaction: The physics of manipulating populations. Extremely predictable.
Sorry.

TBK is what is known these days as a "whack job".

Sure, all politicians are probably a little bit corrupt if you will, but I still believe that a Smart President is 100x better than a Dumb President, therefore, greed and graft aside, we will be MUCH better off than we were in just a couple months.

Try to name just one significant accomplishment from Bush/Cheney in the past 8 years. And killing Saddam Hussein at the low, low cost of 1 trillion dollars and a million dead or displaced Iraqis doesn't count. In fact, this whole War On Terror thing is stupid as can be = spend $250K or more to kill each and every supposed terrorist leader? Not worth it to me - I'd rather give some kid here a decent education.

Did anyone stay awake during Civics class? 60 is NOT a magic number. True, it takes that many votes to cut off a filibuster but the TRUTH is that it depends on the issue. There are left, center and right Republicans and Democrats. Therefore, it is the issue that determines how many votes you get.

Just ignore TBK. The Black helicopters have been dispatched to take care of him.
