Mark Your Calendar
I just came across this old column by Mark Steyn from February 27, 2006 that begins with this question:
In five years' time, how many Jews will be living in France?
That's about fifteen months from now. I think I'll set my computer to remind me, assuming I haven't succuumbed to dhimmitude by then.

Posted by: Jonathan Versen at November 16, 2009 03:53 AMSteyn, a neo-con, expat Canadian (why do they all migrate down here? Do the Canadians have the good sense to run 'em off?), whose name might rhyme with strain or spine...and who gladly down with Blech...

I gave him a deserved kicking down-blog but Johann Hari can be quite good on Steyn.
Posted by: weaver at November 16, 2009 06:29 PMHey woody - No I'm sorry to say we don't run 'em off, we elect them Prime Minister and let them do their mini-Bush religious-right thing to a once reasonably - or at least somewhat - tolerant nation.
Posted by: Harpfool at November 17, 2009 06:02 PMRumor has it Steyn is particularly embittered over his puzzling failure to ever win the prestigious Gordon Lightfoot lookalike contests he keeps entering.
I wouldn't lie to you!
Posted by: . at November 17, 2009 06:09 PMHey . : I think you have something here: Folks like Steyne are bitter because they fail to *look* like someone with genuine talent! Thanks for the sudden insight!
